Children ages 2-4 will explore centers that focus on science, technology, engineering, art and math. Preschool Prep includes circle time, story time, a lesson with correlating art project and center time. We want to set children up for a successful first school experience, make it fun and familiar.
To prepare children for Pre-School with a gentle separation program. We foster and encouraging independence while children explore and play. Parents or caregivers stay in the classroom with the child, and independence is gained gradually as the child begins to play and interact with peers without assistance.
As certified early childhood teachers, we aim to collaborate with parents/caregivers, and use a functional knowledge of child development so that we can best serve children’s needs and help each individual child achieve their potential in our class.
Our curriculum and teaching philosophy is based on developmental play through STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math). Through structured play, children learn and develop physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally while using creativity and problem solving skills. Our STEAM curriculum follows a predictable and structured routine to foster security and familiarity. Appropriate transitions between activities allow children to know what to expect next, while building self-confidence and independence. Within the structure, children are encouraged to participate and move between activities according to their own interests and curiosities, with guidance from the teacher.
